Let me get started at the very beginning. Man was in the garden of eden. He was permitted to do whatsoever he wanted to do,except for one thing. He was not permitted to eat from the tree of knowledge. This was God’s one command. Eve was tempted by an evil serpent to disobey God and then she persuaded Adam to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge, which God forbid them to do. Adam ate the apple. They all of a sudden became conscious of their nakedness. God knew this because when God asked Adam why he was hiding,Adam replied”I was penitent of being naked.” At this point God Knew he Disobeyed him and ate from the tree of cognition which God forbid him to do. This is what the bible says. At this point I have two questions. Obviously the apple was symbolic of something else. Because there is not one thing defective with eating an apple. My firstborn question is,”What is the apple symbolic of?”In other words” What deed genuinely transpired?” My second question is” What was the psychological result of perception learning and reasoning that which God forbid?” The bible does not answer ,or even address these questions. I know that a good deal of of you may be saying the answer to the question regarding the knowledge, was that man would acquire all the same psychological result of perception learning and reasoning that God had. But this was stated by the serpent who was the devil and the devil is a liar. So that does not answer that question for me. O. k. Now lets jump in front to the seventeenth century. There was a French philosopher named Rene Descartes. He is referred to as the father of progressed philosophy. He reached a point in his life where he had a lot of doubts. He even doubted his own existence. He felt that he could be just a figment of numerous ones imagination. Then he realized one thing. Doubting was going on. He realized doubting was a thought process. He then knew he was capable to think. He is well known for the quote” I think hence I am.” He necessitated to be sure of things in order to believe. Now Rene Descartes confronted his faith in the existence of God. He was Catholic and he attended the Catholic church. He was being told a good deal of things when it comes to God by the Catholic church. He wanted to recognise where these teachings were coming from,And by who’s authority. The Catholic church told him they had Sacred scriptures that were in sacred places. Rene Descartes wanted to thoroughly examine them for himself to interpret and believe for himself. The church told him that was impossible, because only sure anointed religious leaders of a high order were permitted to go and view such sacred documents. Well,Rene Descartes would not receive this. He said if he could not see for himself he could not believe their teachings. He was banished from France. In 1663, the Pope placed all of his outstanding works on the index of prohibited books. Why were they hiding the teachings of God. It reminds me of a quote that Jesus,” Woe to the pharisees, for they are like a dog sleeping in the manger of oxen, for neither does he eat nor does he let the oxen eat. . .” God’s word is like a light to guide man to keep him from stumbling in the darkness. Jesus said.” If you have a lamp that is lit, do you put it underneath a table and cover it, or do you put it on top of the table so all may see the light. ?” Jesus also said,” Where there is light there may be no darkness.”
