You just got your new Kindle and have loaded it up with e-books and audio books. After playing a while you determine to make a few phone calls. When you come back, you find your Kindle screen is frozen! Unresponsive. The Next Page and Previous Page buttons don’t work. The (Aaa) doesn’t “wake it up.” Nothing seems to fetch your Kindle back to life. That old-school screen saver just stares back at you.
First of all – don’t panic. As with any other electronic device, the Kindle on occasion has a few hiccups. There are a few things you may do to get your Kindle running again good as new.
1. Plug-in your charger. Sometimes the Kindle battery may get run-down sufficient so that it will “freeze.” Plugging the charger in and giving your Kindle battery a heap of much necessitated power oftentimes will un-freeze the screen.
2. If that doesn’t work, try what is called a “soft reset.” To do a soft reset on your Kindle press the , , and keys simultaneously. Your Kindle screen will have to go blank or dark and then tardily come back to life.
3. When doing a soft reset doesn’t work, you will at times have to do a “hard reset.” To do a hard reset -
- Make sure your Kindle’s battery is charged (about an hour of charging time ought to do it)
- Remove the charger cord from your Kindle
- Open the back of your Kindle
- Locate the little hole underneath the word “Reset”
- Open a little paper clip
- Insert the paper clip end into the hole and press GENTLY for in regards to 10 seconds
- Your Kindle screen ought to go blank (or black) and then the Kindle must re-start
4. When a hard reset doesn’t work you may undertake to remove and replace the battery in your Kindle. This is a bit more complex but not too difficult -
- Turn your Kindle off

- Open the back of your Kindle

If your Kindle is still “frozen” after completing the steps above, your next move is to contact the Amazon Kindle help team.  Bare Bones Introduction to Publishing Books on Amazon

Kindle has been a revolutionary device when it comes to reading books. However, it is also, albeit more slowly, changing the way that books are published. Thanks to the zero cost of publishing electronic books almost anyone who has something to write about can now write a book of their own. The only aspects of the publishing process that still need to be outsourced are the access to a distribution network and a way to collect payment for the books that are sold. Fortunately, the Kindle Store provides a way of elegantly and effectively solving both of those issues, and this very short documents explains how this can be accomplished. This document is more of a step-by-step easy to understand and follow how-to guide rather than a full-fledged introduction to publishing with on Kindle store. Most of the material could be figured out just by going to Amazon’s website, but it’s useful to have it in a self-contained and accessible form. There are a few points that I think are important to keep in mind if you are interested in publishing on Amazon:
